Sarah is drawn to this work by its potential to positively impact individual lives and also create wide ranging, generational change. She believes we can prevent and build resilience to early life adversity in ways that honor lived experience. In every role at every level throughout her career, Sarah has become the person on whom people rely when the path appears closed. She enjoys developing flexible organizations that are responsive to ever changing environments.

Director, Initiatives & Evaluation

Sarah is driven by a desire to address the root causes of poor health and limited opportunity. An epidemiologist and public health leader, Sarah has an array of experience leading and supporting community health initiatives. Sarah believes children are deserving of respect, and that children thrive and society benefits when they have environments like quality schools, healthcare, and neighborhoods that are designed to meet their needs.

Director, Community Engagement & Communications

Joy values opportunities to help shift possibilities and perspectives toward a more just and compassionate world through authentic connection and equitable collaboration. Joy has worked in human services communications and outreach, and directed trauma-responsive creative arts programming for all ages.

Jiyu Lin

Special Projects Lead

Jiyu loves turning ideas into action. The first person in her family to graduate from college, Jiyu is motivated every day to fight inequality. Before joining Treehouse, Jiyu was a Principal at BCG in their public sector practice, where she advised senior executives in government and NGOs on strategy, policy, and operations.

Maria enjoys being able to apply her 20 years of project management skills to support complex initiatives designed to make a positive impact in our communities. Her problem-solving curiosity, coupled with her ability to action work forward, makes her a strong asset to any team. But it’s her love of humanity and desire for every individual to have an opportunity to thrive that truly motivates her.
